Thank You!!!

I am so PROUD of all of my beautiful black butterflies (BBB) today. I worked as an election judge on what will prove to be a historic day one way or another and all of my BBB's turned out...young and old. I was especially taken with all of the young people who showed up with their friends in tow, none to sure of the process but refusing to be intimidated. Many did not have the proper documents to register, but there is always one kid in the group that has his/her shit together and had already registered, so they were able to "vouch" for their peers.
Those folks who turned out just to vote for Obama cracked me up...they were in no way interested in voting for a bunch of judges who they knew nothing about...LOL This is how much of my morning went..."hey little mama" or "sista...hey sista", or "gurl come here for a second"..."do i have to vote for all these folks...I don't even know who they are...you know I just came to vote for Obama."
I sure as hell don't know what tomorrow will bring and all of those folks standing in long lines to cast their votes wont ever even read my little blog entry, but I still feel compelled to say THANK YOU!! Thank You for turning out, thank you for refusing to be discouraged, thank you for on this day remembering that you have already been paid for! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, I am so proud!
