We headed to the Arboretum this past weekend for a little family fun. Trevor took full advantage of the new "sit & stand stroller"...lol Though we got to see a lot we didn't even cover a third of that place...it's huge!! Lots of pictures below so make sure you scroll down.

I Need Jesus to Take the Wheel to Drive This Sucker!
I've been reduced to getting the big a$$ cart when shopping now...you know the one, its got added seating for toddlers. I hate that fricking cart! It's to damn big! Why make a cart that is difficult to maneuver? It makes for a questionable shopping experience, and when you don't feel good about shopping you are likely to cut your trip short which means the store will loose money. Will someone please tell Wal-Mart, Target, Cub Foods and the like to come up with something better than this!

Mommy Wow...I'm Really a Big Boy Now!!!
Of course he will have to stop drinking beverages about 2 hours before bedtime to ensure that his success continues. Those damn pull-ups...they just give a kid no reason to go sit on the toilet when they can pee on themselves and still be relatively dry. I definitely think I will potty train Kendall in the old fashioned rubber trainers we all use to wear as kids. Congrats Trevor on your first night of dryness :)
Pull-ups...the Down Fall of Civilization
Trevor has been potty trained for a while now. This summer we finally got the concept that poop goes in the potty just like pee pee. Anyway, many teachers believe that pull-ups are the downfall of civilization...LOL that they keep kids to dry and as a result the age in which kids are potty trained gets older and older every year. Trevor is a prime example of this theory. We would keep him in regular underpants during the day when he was home and he rarely had pee pee accidents because he didn't want to be wet, but when he went to school and on family outings he wore a pull-up. Let me tell you...this kid could careless about peeing on himself in a pull-up...they kept him to dry and didn't make him uncomfortable and soggy. Needless to say one day we just went cold turkey...big boy underpants all day everyday except at bedtime and just like that we was completely potty trained.Wednesday, July 9, 2008
Beautiful Black Butterflies
Thus far Barack Obama's children have never been interviewed, but Access Hollywood was able to nab the one and only interview with the family over the 4th of July holiday. Can I just say that I love, love, love Miss Malia!!! I can only hope that Kendall is as well spoken as she is at 10 years old. I see something special in Lady Malia...not sure what it is, but she's got "it." And the hair, how refreshing to see a little chocolate drop with her hair in summer braids...hee hee. I remember being little and always having my hair braided in the summer. What beautiful black butterflies both little Obama's are :) Check out the interview at this link http://www.accesshollywood.com/article/10226/preview-access-exclusive-barack-obama-and-family-chat-with-maria-menounosMonday, July 7, 2008
Kendall's Beauty Bar
Miss Kendall has eczema fairly bad on her arms, legs and thighs and a bit on her face along her chubby jaw line. I had eczema as a kid and Trevor has it as well so I guess she dipped into the bad end of my gene pool..lol Anyway doctors don't like to prescribe topical cream for infants because it usually contains steroids, so they want you to exhaust all possibilities to try and keep the condition manageable. Here's a little video on how we preserve Kendall's sexy...hee hee
